Underpinning the cruelty-free ethos of edie and the brand hopes to be a part of long lasting change regarding animal welfare, and shifting the mindset to respect all living beings.

edie's Shoes:

Vegan Leather:

Microfiber leather is the product of a highly sophisticated manufacturing process that combines Microfiber with PU to produce a long-lasting leather substitute and is the highest quality grade of synthetic vegan leathers.

It has a 30% lower impact on the environmental than animal based leathers in terms of water consumption, eutrophication, and global warming.

Microfiber Leather is designed to simulate the properties of natural leather, utilizing sea-island superfine microfiber and high-grade polyurethane resins as raw resources, using needle punched nonwoven technology of three-dimensional structure.

Microfiber leather has many similar characteristics as natural leather, with advanced physiochemical performance in comparison to animal based leathers.

Recycled PU Leather:

edie's recycled vegan leathers are made up of 58% pre/post-consumer polyester, 18% polyurethane, 14% calcium carbonate and 10% protein.

All of recycled vegan leather has a GRS certification (Global Recycling Standard)*.

*GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party verification of the chain of custody, recycled content, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions.

edie's high heels and loafer soles are 100% recyclable.
